The only people that could see an IP address has visited a site would be the site admin s. I was using omegle text chat spy mode.
So I was on Omegle yesterday and someone threatened me that he would find me and hurt me. Also an ip address changes and you can scare anyone by just punching in numbers. Usually if you were an actual threat the police would get to you right away.

I've been doing research and some people say your IP on omegle can only be seen on Video chat, and not on text because the computers are not directly connected, but then other people say it is possible either way. Some people even said they've had someone figure out their IP address via Omegle text chat. I'm not sure if it's the same with the spy mode. The reason I feel unsafe about this situation is that a few years back I had an experience on one of the local chatrooms where a person did not only found out my city by my IP, but also my exact neighborhood. I'm not sure if there is a difference with omegle and how hard would it be for someone to track my IP down to my actual street address. Would they have to get on omegle server first? This person sounded very serious and psychotic. Sorry to say but there are ways of people to do this, if this is really worrying you go to the cops and tell them about it and hey can help you out. And even if that was possible, most home users connect to the internet in a way that the IP address that is seen by the outside world is not really the address of the client machine this is called NAT , and additionally, IP addresses are assigned dynamically this is called DHCP , so there is no guarantee that a user will always have the same IP address. I doubt you are in any kind of danger. I would just forget about it. I've gone on Omegle and had a tout conversation with someone but I NEVER gave them anyreal info about me,I put a different age,name,and even country,and didn't give them my MSN or anything like that,and we did not video chat.
